A27 Roadworks Start 1st Oct


Road users on a section of the A27 near Lewes in East Sussex are set to benefit from a new emergency gate that will help keep traffic flowing during roadworks and following incidents.

The gate will allow a contraflow to be set up quickly and easily on the A27 Lewes Bypass between the Ashcombe and Southerham roundabouts should one side of the road be closed.

Walking Bus Gets Legs!!

Every Friday morning from May 1st 2009, during term times, the walking bus will leave the Stanley Turner Sports Ground, directly opposite Cranedown at 8.20am.

The bus will arrive at Southover Primary School at around 8.40am. The route is along Cockshut Lane under the A27 tunnel and up Cockshut Road to Southover High Street and down Potters Lane.

After months of campaigning by KRCRA, we have successfully ensured that East Sussex County Council fixed the blocked drains at the A27 underpass on Cockshut Lane.
